Terms and Conditions

Check in time: from 3pm or by prior arrangement.
Check out time: is by 11am or by prior arrangement. Lodge must be vacated by check out time.
Booking confirmations: Bookings are only confirmed upon receipt of deposit. The deposit amount $ required is 50% of total $ amount of booking. Confirmation is sent out via email once deposit received.
Maximum number of guests: Max permitted is 12. (including children)
Balance of tarrif: Balance must be paid no later than 14 days prior to arrival. Failure to do so may result in cancellation of booking and/or forfeit of deposit.
Payments: Payments are via internet banking or credit card in the name of the guest who makes the booking (Visa/Mastercard) . This is done via the phone.
Pets: No pets are allowed on the property or in the lodge. Please ensure any visitors respect this too.
No smoking policy: Guests are not permitted to smoke inside the lodge.
Property maintenance: Please notify the property manager or owner as soon as possible if a problem relating to the lodge/property exists that impacts on your stay.
Every effort is made to maintain Taupo Bay Lodge to a high standard. We will aim to rectify any problem that exists in a timely manner.

Security: Guests are responsible for the safe keeping of the owner’s property and content during the booking period. Lock doors and windows when you are away and at night, as you would at home. We can’t be held responsible for any stolen or lost items.
Departure: The property must be left in a clean and tidy state. Any furniture that was moved please return to the place in which it was found on arrival. All doors and windows are to be securely closed before check-out. Check the garage door is secure.
- Linen: Place bed linen on the laundry floor along with any towels used. Strip sheets and pillowcases only from the beds used. Leave duvets on the beds.
- Dishwasher: Load and switch on before departure. Guests are responsible for cleaning cutlery, crockery, and general kitchen utensils.
- BBQ: Please clean the plates and wipe down surfaces.
Cancellations/refund policies: If a booking is cancelled 21 days before arrival date, 50% of the total accommodation cost will be held. If a cancellation is made with 7 days of arrival date, 100% of total cost is held and no refunds issued. There are no refunds on early departures. Please be aware of these cancellation conditions. Guests are advised that insurance can be purchased to cover themselves in the unlikely event of having to cancel. All changes to a booking or cancellations must be received via email.
Principle: Guests agree that should any of these conditions not be adhered to, the owners have the right to terminate the booking. In this event, the guest and all other persons will vacate the property immediately if requested to do so by the owner. If this arises, the guest agrees that no refund will be due or paid for any unused accommodation rights. The guest agrees that by making a booking, they indicate to accept the booking conditions as set out above.
